New Hiking Trail in the Rouge Park

Canadian Maple Leaf flag with an Eastern Kingbird
Found a new hiking trail in the Rouge Park today and had a great time enjoying the Fall colours.

Living in Toronto, Canada, we are blessed with the beautiful maple tree.

The red maple leaf is the symbol of Canada on our national flag

At this time of year, the distinctive green leaves of the Maple tree turn a glorious bright red.

Salmon swimming up the Rouge River
We were thrilled to see salmon swimming up the river, and some interesting fungi growing on tree stumps.

The Rouge Park has just been designated as Canada's first urban National Park and is 13 times larger than New York's Central Park. To learn more about this exciting new park, visit rougepark.com
